These activities are based on the mill pond of Mosty Lea Mill which is reached by a short walk along the mill stream behind Wetmore Mill located at the bottom of Jubilee Drive. 

The pond is large enough to cater for groups undertaking both canoeing and rafting at the same time.

Rafting

We have sufficient barrels, ropes for lashings, buoyancy aids and padals enough for groups of twelve. Each group must be supervised by a responsible adult leader.

Groups normally float out to the buoy and sometimes they even manage to stay afloat long enough to get back, the rest swim!!

Canoeing

At this time, we hire out use of the pool for canoeing but we do not have a fleet of canoes or instructors. 

Instructors and canoes are sometimes available through the County Water Advisor, whom you should contact direct, number available from reception. Please be aware that this arrangement is then made between groups and the County Water Team, and not through Kibblestone. The pool needs to be booked with the site by the group.
