Abseiling
Enjoy abseiling from our natural sandstone crag. A man-made belay platform ensures the easiest start to the descent. Our instructors are trained and assessed to SPA, but if you would like to bring your own instructor, please ensure they bring their certificates with them.

Air Rifle Shooting
Air rifle shooting takes place in our purpose-built range and is a very popular activity – especially in winter as the range is indoors and well heated!
Our instructors are trained and assessed to NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor’s Diploma, but if you would like to bring your own instructor, please ensure they bring their certificates with them.

Archery
Our archery range is under cover so it is suitable for damp or sunny conditions alike.
Our instructors are trained and assessed to Archery GB Instructor Award or equivalent, but if you would like to bring your own instructor, please ensure bring their certificates with them.

Axe Throwing
Axe throwing is surprisingly easy to pick up, with most people able to get the axe into a target within their first five to ten throws. We have different weights of axes to suit the participant.

Mega Bean Bag Toss
One of our newer activities. Try and get as many bean bags into the targets. This is a self-led activity.

Cave Bus
Our newest activity – a man-made caving activity in a bus! Suitable for Beavers and Rainbows too. This is an instructor led activity.

Climbing

Crate Stacking
Crate stacking is one of the most popular activities at Kibblestone. The object of the activity is to build the towers of milk crates as high as you can get before they topple over and you and your team are left suspended in mid-air. Our qualified instructors can be hired to belay your group to the lofty heights. Can you beat our record of 23 crates?

Eliminator
An out-of-the-ordinary obstacle course, this one is vertical, and a great take on climbing for those who may have done the normal sort before – or even those who haven’t.
Our instructors are trained and assessed to Kibblestone-specific High Rope training standards, but if you would like to bring your own instructor, please ensure they bring their certificates with them.

Farm Experience - Meadow Care Farm
Want to try something different while on site.
Based onsite we now have a working farm. This allows groups to come and visit the animals. Learn about their habitat and welfare. There is an opportunity to interact with them and help to look after them during the visit. The visit will also work towards your Animal Carer activity badge.
Sessions are 1 hour.
Don’t forget to bring your wellies…..

We will introduce your group to looking after the various animals we have. Along with a lot of hands-on experience.

Gladiator Duel
Inflatable fun! Face your opponent from your podium and try to dislodge them from theirs. This is an instructor led activity.

High All Aboard
High All Aboard is a great example of using high rope elements to develop team working, communication, trust and have a fab time doing it. The activity can accommodate up to four people climbing at a time.

Jacob's Ladder
The Jacob’s Ladder is one of the high rope elements available at Kibblestone. It provides a great opportunity to climb with a different slant on things. The ladder rungs get further from your reach with every climb, adding to the challenge.

Nerf Range
One of our newer activities. Have fun trying to hit the targets with the Nerf guns! This is a self-led activity.

Orienteering
On-site orienteering maps can be purchased from reception and used at your leisure. Our orienteering posts look exactly as pictured. Kibblestone has two onsite orienteering courses, the camping side of the road is the easier course, as most posts are located just off paths and roadways. This is a self-led activity and there are no prescribed qualifications

Pedal Boats
One of our newest activities in the Mosty Lea Mill pond. Our new pedal boats seat four, two to pedal and two passengers. Have fun and burn off some energy on the pond. This is an instructor-led activity.

Pond Dipping
One of our newest activities in the former swimming pool. We have created a lovely pond environment where you can seek out and learn about the various creatures living in the pond. This is a self-led activity.

Rafting - AVAILABLE from May-September
Construct a raft and paddle it on Bert’s Pool. Ropes, poles, 250-litre barrels and hi-buoyancy aids are supplied. Make sure you bring a complete change of clothing, including shoes!
This is a self-led activity and you must supply your own risk-assessment for a Grade C water activity.
